In 1984 questions were raised as to whether the surrender of individual freedom will actually result in greater security, or when we give up freedom for security, are we giving in to the aim of the terrorists .The aim being to undermine individual freedom of choice, equality under the law, and the dignity of every individual...and it is an uncanny forewarning of what's to come....
Then we have the Patriot Act. Look at all these personal freedoms we are giving up to be "safe"....example...
Enhanced surveilance procedures with just some being:
Sec. 206. Roving surveillance authority under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978
Sec. 208. Designation of judges
Sec. 215. Access to records and other items under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
and trust me I could go on and on and on here....
The book 1984 will make you think...and that's EXACTLY what it needs to do.If noone will stand up for our freedoms...there soon will be no freedoms left...
