Depends on what you want really!
I am planning mine at the moment, so we can learn together! I am having it at a register office. I had to call to book an appointment with the superintendant registrar. They asked me when I wanted to get married and booked it over the phone! Next week we have to take our passports and proof of address to the register office to prove we haven't been married before.
We are having the reception at a local pub owned by a friend, and the flowers I am doing. I am buying silk flowers I can keep forever. My friends are making food so we can have a big huge buffet!
Good luck with your wedding, get in touch with your wedding date if you need any more help!!

pick a date first, go to your local church, registery office or where ever you want to get married and book that day, go to hotels that have wedding fairs most of them do these days ring them up aske when it is on or ask for their wedding brochure at the wedding fair they have everything that is involved in a wedding so you will get ideas for the day i think these are a great idea then decide where you want to have it, then go from there you have organise the wedding cars, cake, your dress, the grooms suit, decorating the room & church? honeymoon, invitations and also it depends on how big of a wedding you want + if it is a traditional wedding you really just have to sit down with your partner and discuss what you both what then go and organise it.

the first thing u need to do is set the date, then make a list of all the things u need, like cake, photographers, cars and rings. Try to include everything down to the favours for the bridesmaids
(try wedding magazines for lists like this)
Then u pick the people u want in your wedding party and book venues and services for the day. My advice is to keep a big scrapbook of stuff u like so u dont have to keep flicking through magazines to find it.
Then enjoy your day!!!!

go to las vegas--so much easier than all the hullabaloo over here--and dont tell anyone till you come home--that way you get all the pressies but no hassle! a simple document from clark county courthouse--a drive through chapel--and bob's your uncle!
