Well, I've heard it said that eternal life on Earth would get pretty boring after awhile. I would chose to live normally and then die at the end of a long, happy life surrounded by family. I cannot fathom an existence where I will watch everyone I ever care about die. And what happens some 50 billion years from now when the sun burns out? Or an asteroid devastates the planet tomorrow and wipes out all life forms? Eternity with humans (and their subsequent, evolved species however many hundreds of thousands of generations from now) would be bad enough, but wandered a devoid rock for eternity... no thanks.

I would like to be able to live a healthy life as long as I am not bored with life in general. In other words, I don't exactly want eternal life, but I would like to have the choice to live 800 years and THEN die if I choose to. A 100 year lifespan is far too short to see and experience all that I would like. I am extremely curious about life elsewhere in the universe. I am afraid I won't even live long enough to see whether their is life on Jupitor's or Saturn's moons.

I would never want to live eternally on earth. This morning I heard on the news a man was riding his bike and got shot in the head. I'm ready to move on!! Sensible or rational, oh well!

a eternal life..the only way i would accept this on earth. is if my family could have a eternal life with me because i dont think i could take the pain of watching and dealing with all the family and friends pass away before me. it would kill you wouldnt it to know you would live to see them die. if they could not have a eternal life then i would die gracefully hopefully at a old age. enough to see great grand children.

If the world blew up, and it was just pieces of shard floating through space would I be alive still? If so, then no..live and die. If I live as long as the planet is habitable then yeah, eternal life would be cool. Unless I got senteced to life in prison...ouch.

Live normally and die. That is the way things work. With the way that people live today... I feel sorry for people that are going to be alive in the next 200-300 years. No way would I want to live then.

i would choose a normal life and die... i may not have the same courage and strength as i used to have... so why should i prefer to live eternally... besides... i cannot stand to see my family getting ahead of me because they have a normal existence while i have an everlasting life

i am a roman catholic and i do believe in everlasting life, after death so if i was given eternal life on earth who would not accept it but it should be a life with out misery and sorrow and with out deformity and without sickness ,and every one else on earth has the same gift of life then it would be worth while, can you imagine me surviving generation,

live a normal life and die; everything loses its appeal with time and living forever would make life lose its appeal and living would become more of a burden.

therefore it's better to live normally and die to experience the best of both worlds!

After you enjoy all the things and your body start to deteriorate, is best to die peacefully and avoid give troubles to others, why leave a life if you have to be pushing around and you can not do things you use to do.
I just want to leave long enough to see and do things I normaly enjoy; but after, I do not want to give troubles to other human, even my closest one, they will probably love me but they will suffer seen me deteriorate; so I do not want that for them.
