14 years is inbetween. You are not a child anymore but definately also not yet an adult.
For instance, your body is not fullgrown yet, and that goes the same for your brain.
For example, the recognition of other peoples emotions is something we develop more in our puberties, and so it goes for other things in our brain as well.
Besides that you have a lot of hormonal changes in your body, and that also works on how you feel and react on things. Things become more relaxed after you are about 20-22.
Look back at the time you where 8 years old, just 6 years before your 14th. See how big the diffenence is? Imagine how big the difference can be if you add up 6 years from now...

That depends on the maturity level of the individual concerned. In some cases 14 year olds are definitely children, but in others it seems unfitting to describe the individual as a child.
Legally though, at 14 you are still a child.

Legally you aren't an adult until you're 18 year old. Ohysically you don't reach your maturity peak until your late 20's. You won't reach your mental peak until you're 60!
I'd say that 14 is legally a child, but because of the akward stage between childhood and adultery, I'd consider a 14 year old a young adult.

I am 14, so I would say it is something between child and adult. The child realizes that it starts growing up and changes.

Legally, still a child. It depends on the individual. There are some teens who are more mature than a lot of adults out there.
