Exactly what are you going to be interviewing for? I must presume it's an entry level employment interview, otherwise you wouldn't be asking in a place like here, where most of the responders are teeny-boppers still in middle school.
I definitely wouldn't use Mother Teresa as a role model for an employment interview. She was anti-materialistic, devoted her life to helping the impoverished. Not exactly the type of person an employer would consider as an asset to the business. Of course you might be interviewing for a position with the Red Cross or a committee member on the Church's benevolent fund,, in that case she may serve as a good role model.
Specific reasons = devotion, sincerity, compassion, faith

Keep in mind why the interviewer is asking the question: they are doing a simple personality profile by associating the traits of your role model with you.
If Stalin was your role model you might not make a good diplomat, understand?
No one that answers this question can tell you who should be your role model. Lookin the mirror; who are you? What do you stand for?
Good luck,
K

First figure out what character traits your position requires. Then, try to think of someone who possess those traits and use that person, be sure to explain the reason you admire this person is because of their person qualities, that you strive to use in your everyday life. ie, if your position is a entry level with a large company and plenty of upside for promotions. Pick someone who started at the bottom and through hard work and persistance acheive great things within a large corporation.

If you are in the US use Mother Teresa; she is more widely known in the US.

Well, that's up to you really. Figure out who you really admire and why. Don't pick someone with whom you have no connection just to impress the interviewer. Be honest in your choice.
