Masturbation is a perfectly normal and healthy pastime, but if it is becoming detrimental to your relationship because you PREFER to masturbate then have sex with your partner, then there could be an issue.
What is the reason you and your partner are not having sex? If your partner is 'off' sex at the moment, you should be takling and finding out why- she could be stressed, having health problems or going through some emotional difficulties. As her partner, you should be helping her get to the root of any problems she may be having, and helping her solve them.
If you yourself are PREFERRING to masturbate rather than have sex, then you have some issues of your own which need confronting. Are you tired from work? Worried about something? Anxious about sexual performance? Perhaps you no longer find her attractive- again, this is normal but can be detrimental to a healthy sexual relationship. Perhaps if you address the deeper issues, everything else will work itself out. I wish you and your partner luck and success, because there is nothing more fulfilling than a healthy sexual relationship. All the best for the future.

men masturbate all the time - whether they have a gf, wife, or what ever. if you don't want sex though, there are possibly some underlying issues. Are you still a virgin? Performance anxiety could be a cause.

It is certainly not the norm. How old is this guy? I would guess this may be more normal for a younger man. It would make me wonder if this person doesn't find me that desirable. Maybe you should move on and find someone who wants sex with you.

It's normal for married men to masturbate as well, it doesn't mean he doesnt' want her it's just something ALL men do....I think it's that thought of recapturing the feeling the very first time you masturbated.

I think it is normal for guy to masturbate even if he have a galfriend. But, normally guy will like to have sex with his galfriend rather then masturbating. While you are masturbating, who do you actually think of? If it is your galfriend, then you are normal. If not, something must be wrong.

Yes...

But... if he could GET sex... he'd take it.

This indicates that the COST isn't worth the experience.
