No, Dont do it! I used to be a western union gent and this happened alot. I know of one old ladie that tried to send alot of money and I stoped her because it was a lottery scam. She had been sending money in excess of 10,000. I have recieved those offers threw my emails. First of all I never entered any contest. Law enforcement will tell you if they ask for money up front when you win something it is more than likely a scam. You can always check with the better business burea. they would know for sure if it was legitament. but i bet it isnt. There is alot of this going around.

Yup, Congrats mate you've won! It's standard to have to pay up to 1%-2% to win 200.000 from the lottery like that, so for $250, it's a pretty good barigain.

I'll be happy to read over the contracts for $750...

Have you ever entered the Australian Lottery? If no, then it is most definitely a scam. I get about 5-10 similar e-mails a day. I'm not rolling in cash either, but there is no such thing as free money.

Oh yes it's a scam.

1. How can you win a lottery you didn't enter?

2. What legitimate lottery do you know of that asks you to send money to get money?

Do NOT correspond with these people anymore. You might even forward the e-mail to your local congressperson and/or police department. Good luck.

http://www.lotterypost.com/news-128520.htm Overseas lottery scams are flourishing and Australians are being sucked in, many of them losing thousands of dollars, the Australian Consumer Fraud Taskforce (ACFT) says.

Lottery scams, in which people are asked to pay a fee and give personal information to access winnings from a bogus lottery, are one of the most reported confidence tricks nationwide.

ACFT chair Louise Sylvan said poorer consumers were attracted to the scams, which had increased at an alarming rate in recent years.

"The scam relies on the consumer becoming excited by the thought that they really have won the 'big one'," she said.

"A consumer might consider a relatively small fee to be worth a risk worth taking when they compare it to the size of their winnings."

She said a large number of consumers had reported sending significant sums of money to overseas scammers and many had lost more than $10,000.

The Australian and New Zealand taskforce, comprising 18 government agencies, has begun a four-week campaign to educate people about the dangers of scams received by mail, phone and email.

The taskforce is advising consumers who receive suspicious looking offers to "delete it, hang up or destroy it".

Spam. Dont entertain such people. I receive such kind of emails lots of time. If you reply to them, they will end up swindling your money. Just delete the message and all such messages in future. Its better to remain poor than to take people's money and have credits because of such spam messages.
