You can get pregnant as soon as you start ovulating again. That will vary from one woman to the next.

After natural childbirth, most women will bleed for up to 6 weeks. You can't get pregnant during that time (but then, most women probably wouldn't want to have sex during that time anyway).

Some women will immediately resume their cycles after that. I did. After my son was born I immediately went back to a regular 28 day cycle.

Some women won't return to a regular cycle for many months. That doesn't mean they are not necessarily ovulating though. So conception can occur even if you're not having a regular cycle. But some women take months before they ovulate again.

Many women don't have regular cycles while breastfeeding, but again, that's not a hard-fast rule, as I exclusively breastfed my son, but still had a normal cycle.

Also, there's no certainty in how long it will take you to conceive the second time around. Secondary infertility (that is, infertility that occurs after having a child) is not uncommon.

You can become pregnant within weeks of giving birth to a baby. However it is recommended that you should wait 9 months to a year before having another. This gives your body time to recuperate from the first.

I know people that got pregnant before their 6 week check up.

You are more fertile after giving birth or having a miscarriage.

congrats on your new baby!!!!

I would say it wouldn't take very long to get pregnant again

It would be possible to get pregnant right after you had a baby. The doctor wouldn't recommend that. give your body time to heal.

You can get pregnant as soon as u start ovulating again. My son was 6months when i fell pregnant with my daughter, and she was 8 months when i fell pregnant with my last baby. It can happen at anytime, congratulations on ur baby!!! Its great having them so close together! Good luck!

You can get pregnant the following month if you're ovulating. Doctor's don't recommend it though. You need to let your body heal and replenish itself. For health reasons, it's best to wait.

You can get pregnant right away but that isn't best for your body. It takes time for your body to recover after pregnancy and childbirth - but it is possible to get pregnant right away.
