lwcomputing is correct. The only other thing to be aware of is that "HTML" has some inherent risks for the individual opening the email. I open all of my email in plain text unless I know and trust the individual. There can be hidden scripts in html as well as when you open it, that alone can notify the sender that your email address is valid. Be careful.

HTML can be "fancied up" like a web page, with pictures, bold, italic, underlined, larger and smaller fonts, etc.
Plain text is just that - plain text. No fanciness whatsoever.

emails in HTML = rish test, photos and cool looking graphics
emails w/o HTML = just letters and numbers
