Decades ago I read of such a match: a lion against a bull.
The near-ending: The lion latched onto the bull's tongue and ripped it out.
The ending: The bull gored the lion to death.
Post mortem question (besides the morality of it all):
Were they matched? The lion weighed 400 lb approx, the bull 1000 lb
If the match were in the open, and not in a cage, would the outcome have been different?
But who would win over the great white shark? Perhaps the giant squid? Let's set up a bout in Madison Square Garden.

These sorts of competitions produce a rock, paper, scissors outcome.
Animals have evolved to occupy very specific niches, and no animal has a perfect defense against all other animals under all circumstances. As a result no animal can defeat ALL other animals in a fair fight.
For example a poisonous snake could readily kill any tiger or brown bear in a confrontation, and they often do.
But that does NOT mean that a poisonous snake would win in all fights. After all poisonous snakes are themselves commonly killed in fights with mongooses, secretary birds and so forth.
So does that mean that a mongoose or secretary bird is the winner? Of course not, because a tiger or bear would kill a mongoose or secretary bird easily.
Like I said, rock, paper scissors. Snake defeats tiger. Secretary bird defeats snake. Tiger defeats secretary bird. And so on forever.
There is no overall winner and never can be.

i think a komodo dragon would be the best here because there so suited to killing. unfourtunatly there stuck in the galapagos so its kinda hard to kill alot but there the fastet reptile alive and when they bite even if you dont bleed to death youll still die from the infection because that animal has so many deadly germs and parasites living in its mouth.they can also get to you in a tree, i dont know if they could get you if your were in one of those giant oak trees but getting there would be the problem unless you were right beside it.
