she was zeus's wife and queen, and she was also the sister of zeus, one of the children swallowed by cronos as a baby. she was the queen of the gods and protected marriage and married women. her bird was the peacock. she was a very temperemental goddess, and got very angry every time zeus had an affair, which was often. these affairs often spawned heroes like hercules, whom she therefore hated. she didn't have a so-called "life" as she was immortal, but if you simply google "greek mythology hera" there are tons of stories and myths.

Hera was the the wife of Zeus in the Greek Mythology. She was very vain and criticized most of the gods. When Zeus came down to Earth to stay away from Hera for a while, Hera came to Earth and found Zeus's friend Echo, who would speak on and on about nothing in particular to distract Hera while Zeus return to Mount Olympus. She then cursed Echo only with the ability to speak after one has spoken (hence the word "echo")-Found in the "Echo and Narcissus" story. Zeus did not particularly like her, and often he cheated on her. Another thing, Hera was somewhat cruel and she put women in to higher suppor while she did not really trust the men to promise to her things she preferred.

Hera was the daughter of Cronus and Rhea. Cronus had overtaken his father to become King of the Gods. In a prophecy, it was said that he too would be dethroned by his own child. To make sure this did not happen, he swallowed each of his children as they were born: Hera, Hestia, Demeter, Poseidon and Hades. Rhea could not stand for this to happen again. So she went down from Mount Olympus and gave birth to Zeus. She kept him with a family there and climbed the mountain back up to Cronus, carrying a rock wrapped in a blanket. Cronus swallowed the rock thinking it was his son, Zeus.

As the story goes.......when Zeus was older and grown he and his mother put together a mixture which Cronus drank. At that point he spit up all of his children.......and the rock. After Zeus defeated his father in a battle with the Titans......he and his brothers drew straws to see who would be God of the Sky, Water and underworld. Zeus then took Hera to be his wife.

She was a very jealous woman. Zeus had many mortal and immortal liasons. She showed her wrath and Zeus showed his power.

Does this give you a good start? :)

Hera was queen of the Greek gods, wife to Zeus, king of the Greek gods, who was father to Hercules by a human woman. She was very jealous of Zeus for his many affairs with human women and she seemed to spend a lot of her time trying to get rid of hercules.
I am sure you need alot more then that for your school work, but thats a place to start a search as there are many articles and books about the Greek Gods.Good luck with your project.

Hera is the wife of Zeus and stepmother of Hercules. She is the goddess who protects marriage. There's several stories I know with Hera so I'm not sure what to put that "she did."

She was married to Zeus the king of Gods, she was extremely jealous (and for good reason, Zeus was always stepping out on her) She hated Hercules; at one point Zeus tricked her into breastfeeding him as a baby, and when she realized she pulled him away and the SPLAT of milk is supposed to be the Milky Way now. Go to Wikipedia, she's a very complicated lady, way too much to go into here! good luck
