First Human Invention

It very well could be a stick because technically the first invention by humans would be a type of tool. Think about monkeys using twigs to gather ants, etc. I think this is a very broad question, and unless they are looking for something very specific, there could be many possible answers. It's really up to the imagination. Think of yourself as an early human out in the wild trying to survive. What would you need? Knives, spears, clothing? Just be sure you can solidly back up your answer.

Since you mention "invention", i'll have to disagree with a stick. I believe that our ancestors could just easily "find" a stick and whack their enemies/their foods; they didn't have to "invent" it.

I believe the first human invention was a stone tools. They crafted it from a "softer" stone using a "harder" stone to shape it. A prime example is a stone axe (for cutting, killing, digging etc).

The next invention was probably a self-made fire. It was used at first to "grilled" the meat and scare a wild beast away.

A wheel come after the self-made fire I believe (probably our ancestors need some kind of tools as transportation, grinding tools, etc).

I do think there's another possibility as the first human invention : some form of structured primal language to communicate.

Hope this helps

I'm going to go with stick. With rock soon after. It's not really an invention but more a question of using existing items as tools.

Why do you ask questions no one can answer. I better question would be what are some of the first human inventions. But unless some has a time machine, no one will know.

Depends on what you define as human.

Our remote ancestors Australopithecus afarensis probably behaved similarly to our nearest relatives the chimpanzees. Chimpanzees use tools that they have invented such as grass stems for catching termites, drumming on tree roots and sticks for displays. They also invented nest building with twigs and grasses as beds. Chimpanzees have also invented the habit of eating medicinal plants when sick.

The first humans were homo habilis (tool using man). They invented tools such as digging sticks, scrappers and choppers that were made out of wood, bone or rock.

Rather man made God or God made man is a subject that only draws on opinions since no one has any proof to back it up. No matter how you phrase it the fact remains. It is a argument that can not be won so the question should be why do those who believe and those who do not believe in God fight a battle that can't be won. Both are theories none stronger or weaker than the other. it is an agree to disagree and a truce should be drawn that I the non believer agree that i will not put down your theory and i the believer agree not to put down your theory as we both have the right to our own opinion and should no longer fight over this subject. live and let live.

Sticks and stones. Humans needed to hunt for food, clothes, and shelter. Most likely they used sticks to defend themselves and hunt. And used stones to hunt and to protect them in their sheltered environment, I would guess caves. With sticks, came the bow and arrow. They used animal guts for the firing string.

The club. Some early humanoid picked up a stick and whacked somebody with it.

And we're still at it!

The EXCUSE! I'm sure even cavemen had to invent a good excuse for coming home late.
