Malibu, California...where you can enjoy the beach AND the mountains at the same time. But if I had to choose, it would be the beach.

depends where you live. if you live near the beach, or on it, i suggest you go to the mountains, to get a change of scenery. if you don't like to take the risk of accidents happening, i suggest you play safe and stay with the beach.
notes: the beach can be a bit boring and usual; yet safe, and easy, while the mountain can be dangerous; yet exciting and unpredictable

the beach is too common, yet undoubtably a cool place to be in.
Still the mountains is a really nice place to excercise, get a good view, get fresh air, train or get to climb, adventure and of course, a quiet place.

Mountians. I love hiking and seeing wildlife. Making a campfire and pitching a tent is fun. I did wildland firefighting for a summer it was really fun.
