if one of your co-workers have real bad personal hygiene how do i tell them in the nicest way possible?

i really know your pain here. I had a co-worker that had terrible hygiene and we worked for a nice bank too. In the end i couldnt bring myself to tell him because he was my friend that i overall respected coz he was always nice and polite to me. To make the story short my other co-worker told him in private and it fixed the problem quickly. SO the ultimate solution is to tell him straight forward its not easy but it will work guaranteed. good luck to ya.

Hey, you can take 'em off to the side and suggest a different brand of soap, cologne or just plain scrubbin' their butts. Also, teach this idiot manners. explain that we don't "do that" every time he scratches himself in public. I think a whole change of attitude is in order for this character. I'm not so diplomatic when someone smells bad when they come to my office to work. I simply tell them at the inspection that I won't let them into one of my cabs if they smell like the other companies' drivers. I tell them to go to work for the other guys if they want to ingnore personal hygiene. I don't have time to be nice about it when I have customers clamoring for our cars. I also have a shower stall in the drivers' lounge that they are welcome to use anytime. I tell them use it more often that people would imagine, but my drivers are always nice and clean, as best as can be expected in Texas in June...LOL

If possible, a group of this man's co-workers should approach his supervisor and lodge a complaint.

A group will get more attention and results than a single person, and the supervisor is the one with the authority and responsibility to see that his/her workers have safe and pleasant working conditions.

The best thing to do is pull that person to the side and say from a friend to a friend you dont smell so good. If that dont work go and tell the boss.
