registry trick are unlimited...

there are tricks responsible for IE, Control Panal, and every software in your system, and frankly it's not considered a trick, it's just changing the data that's read by the application..

for example:

in windows explorer..
---------------------------
to change the tool bar image you go HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
and you modify "BackBitmap"..

to change homepage:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet\Explorer\Main
and modify "Start Page"

plus you can find ur start up programes in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/microsoft/windows/current evrsion/Run

so u can invent your own tricks, the most common keys are HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER
jst be carfull..
