Honestly, the best thing is to wear gloves when applying self tanner. If it is too late, the next step is to exfoliate your hands with an abrasive sponge (if it hurts, you are doing it too hard!). If that doesn't work, soak in a little bleach water (1 part bleach to 2 parts water). Be sure to wash your hands and moisturize afterwards! Good luck!

Wash your hands with Cif it gets the colour off but the best way not to get it on your hands to begin with is to wear gloves when you're applying the tan.

the wash needs to be done immediatly after application, other wise its gonna last a few days on your hands. it'l come off eventually. next time use latex gloves or wash immediatly with soap and water.

if you do the other stuff stated above, you will make your hands dry, rough and sore. be gentle, dont make things worse, just be patient and it will all be ok. as for the bleach comment...are people that stupid? really? gosh, that is the harshest product you could possibly use. its meant for household cleaning. its so hazardous. dont do it.

the easiest and cheapest way to get your tan off is to get in the bath, wet a flannel or towel and just rub. it comes off almost instantly.
