I agree with D - I think everyone should have the freedom to wear whatever they feel comfortable in. You could argue that only someone who was insecure about the masculinity of their appearance could feel that something as small as a toe ring would undermine their gender identity. And even if it did make you look "feminine" what's so bad about that? Oscar Wilde said (the gist anyway!) that the best men have something feminine in them and the best women have a bit of masculine in them - and I think you'll find that most heterosexual girls are attracted to men who are comfortable with a bit of femininity.
Anyway, fashion and the meaning of what is associated with masculine and feminine changes all the time. 100 years ago a girl would be seen as masculine for wearing trousers but now there's nothing unfeminine about a girl in trousers - and this is because so many girls have worn trousers that trousers are no longer associated just with men - the weight of habit changes the perception of what "masculine" and "feminine" mean.
So basically if you hang out with judgmental people and you're scared of being mocked, don't do it. But if you want to do it, and you like the idea of helping to shaping the future direction of gendered clothing, do it!

These questions(or more the answers) really annoy me! Why can't s man wear a toe ring?? Just like why can't they wear pink and have long hair etc. If you want to do something, do it. It shouldn't matter if your a man or woman. I'm female and I hate pink, but it doesn't make me any less a woman! So No it's not wrong to wear a toe ring! If you like it wear it!

I have a thin (2mm) white gold toe ring which is custom fitted (not adjustable). I personally don't see why you shouldn't? it is just a piece of jewelry and men wear piercings, earrings, collars, etc. Of course, some people are just plain narrow minded. Needless to say, if you want to wear them in the open make sure your feet are not an eye sore LOL.

I am a guy, and I wear one on each foot. They look great, and I haven't has any negative things said to me about them. Toe rings are just jewelry. They can be worn by either sex. Even if some negative remark should come my way regarding my toe rings, I would just shrug it off. You have to remember there are always trouble makers out there, who make it their life's work to irritate and make life miserable for others which they don't approve of.

Some one has replied "It's OK as long as they are masculine"??
What the bloody hell do 'masculine' toe rings look like?? Are they like 'masculine' pink ribbons used to tie up a 'masculine' pony tail??
I thought the idea of being a raving homo was to hide the fact that you could be even slightly masculine?
Homophobic? Oh yes!!

Yes it is! I actually find it attractive when a man wears a toe ring, but with a fantastic pair of leather flip flops and a tan. More for you beach dude then your average Joe to be honest, but there is no reason at all why men shouldn't wear them. A previous answer stero-typed it for gay men.............why??????????????? Bloomin homophobic twaddle!!!!!

I am NOT one to question the jewelry another wears, for I do as I please. Whomever out there is really stooping to ask this question. I really do not care. Nor, does it leave me with any implication other than this individual for one reason or another has decided to do so......perhaps it's a tribal thing, or you are trying to take the mickey out there...But, you have my honest answer!
