There have been rumors about the Muslim communities that FEMA, through the REX 84 plan, has set up concentration camps for Muslims to detain them in the event that a crisis should happen...Why is there a need for these camps? What could this crisis be that the U.S. govt is planning for? Why have these camps sprung up within close range of 9/11?

I haven't heard of them but I wouldn't be surprised. I am just learning that there were a number of German POW camps located in the South. Why was that fact omitted from my high school U.S. history course?

The rumors ARE flying about this, however, I've seen some of the sites and they all are quoting the same exact source who seems a little paranoid to me. I wouldn't doubt that this could happen, so I'm not discounting what you're asking. I'm just saying that 40 sites that all refer to the SAME article and pass that of as gospel are probably wrong. & Remember this is the same FEMA who couldn't even get near New Orleans with a weeks notice, how would they detain 100,000 immigrants if there was disaster that took a split second to happen. (I say Immigrants, because in the stories it's not Muslims per se it's mexicans)

FEMA is the Federal Emergency Agency, they dont set up concentration camps, that would require the military so I would say that the rumor is just that, A RUMOR.
