Nah, I don't need to download porn, got lots of cracked passwords. But I think I download more than 50gigs a month in software and music.

The probability of getting caught for any one download is small, but it's always present. The more you download, the higher the risk someone will record what you've done, or that your address will come up on someone's screen somewhere. Music is especially dangerous, because the RIAA will sue pretty much anyone, even on very little evidence.

Bottom line is that if you download heavily for a long time, you stand a fair chance of being caught.

The more you download the more suspicious they get. Usually if you download more then 50-60 Gb per month... But this isn't allways true. The main problem is not to sell illegal software...

One more item you should be aware of, not to long ago a major recoding company sued a child (around 10 or so) for illegaly donwloading music and was fined appx.. 3,000$. Sorry I don't have the particulars. I just remember reading about it.
