It depends upon your point of view. For a person that is naturally evil...doing the wrong thing is easy and doing the right thing is difficult.
It comes down to your values, what you believe is right and wrong. Also, by societies rules.
For instance: Gaining money is hard for a lot of people. They need to go to school, or learn a trade. Then they have to talk somebody into hiring them. Once that is done they have to wait a few weeks to get paid.
Compare that to the bank robber. All they do is walk into a bank, hand the teller a note...then walk out with cash.
The wrong thing is easy, the right thing is harder. There are consequences for your actions. For some that is a guilty conscious...but not everyone has one.
Look at Ted Bundy.

Wrong Things - gives you results and benefits in a very short time without much hardwork
Right things - gives you better results and benefits after a long or maybe very long time and need more hard work.
Thus the tempatation leads us to do the wrong thing for quick benefits.
The benefits of wrong doings are like a match stick, lasts only for a moment.
The benefits of the right doings are like a candle, longs a very last time.
Cheers !!!!

A little plaque sits on my desk. It says " There is a distinction between interest and commitment. You do certain things only when you are interested. But when you are committed to do some thing, you do it with no excuses." Wrong and right" are states of mind that have been inculcated into ones personality from his or her growing years. A child is a product of his or her environment. An environment that encourages lethargy , complacency, and moral bankruptcy, overshadows what is right.

It depends on your mindset there are no real right or wrong things those are based on cultural, social, religious judgments i.e. value judgment. To help you out I would suggest that the things you believe to be right things are generally approved by your social context and thus are idealized making them somewhat unattenable or unachievable. the wrong things on the other are things that are usually frowned upon and a belief that only a person lacking the moral stamina commits them. thus come the lablels criminals, rif raf, glouton etc etc.

Being selfish is easy and takes little effort, Hate is easy and when you hate someone it relieves you of any responsibility to them, now thats easy.
Being selfless on the other hand is hardwork, Loving someone means being responsible for and to them, and that can be very hard work.
There is your answer in a nutshell. ( consise edition )
P.S. the rewards of Love are infinitly more rewarding than selfish hate.
