I just bought a magnetic ear ring. After wearing it for at least few hours, I would start feeling a pain on my skin. Also, if i wear for half a day, then take out, my ear would swell a little: like tight pinch marks. Is this all normal? Does this magentic metal has side effect after a long time wearing it? What could be the worst-case scenario of me wearing it?

i used to use the magnetic type too cuz my ears aren't pierced - and YES, they hurt because the magnet is trying to stick together - i recommend you to change to clip or slide type - they're not painful at all and you won't even know they're there - i'm using the slide type and will never go back to using magnetic type - it does not have any side effect except maybe the blood around your ear will not have good circulation - but nothing harmful or serious anything

i useto work for clarie's for 4 years DONT BUY THEM!!! the magnet wants to touch the other part its its job! and your cutting off the cirtulation! so dont wear them its a waste! look for spring hoops or just go get them done for real!!! its a little pinch a little sting then its over! if your doing this in the cartlidge you need to go to a tattoo place where they can use a hollow gage needle and not a gun it a little more expencive but it will be less pain fun in the return! all guns do for the cartlige is break it and when it heals back it can create bumps called cist on the back of the ear i have also seen them on the front not very attractive!!

well it's normal for it to hurt just from the pressure of the magnets. the worst thing that could happen is that you get a sore ear.

yes this is normal.. its a maganetic so its pulling together, and over time it trys to get closer and closer.. but some antibotic cream on it , and take a rest from using it.. wait a couple of days to use it again if you cant stand the pain.. pain is beauty though! ..

I have experienced it myself. I would suggest you to wear them for short durations and be careful in buying accessories from the next time.
