You know...That is the cutest and most thoughtful question I have heard all nite...LOL...Well, to say the least...I am more of a dog person...But I have grown to love cats...They work for your affection and I have to tell you...If you guys have been together for 17 years...Then he/she definitely loves you...LOL...Keep that love...You can't find a companion that will stay around that long anywhere else...Or can you?...LOL...

Winston Churchill (PM of UK during WWII) said he liked pigs best because cats look down on people, dogs look up to people but pigs look you straight in the eye. That doesn't answer your question but I've always liked that. I have a lot of respect for pigs (and I love cats too).
