Any more? I'm not a total cynic, but it is advisable to take everything you hear and weigh it up - the information you hear is there for a reason and has been presented in a way someone wants you to hear.
Channel 4 news is the worst offender I can think of. For the last few years, they have portrayed the whole of the United States and Christianity in a very negative light - sometimes not even bothering to distinguish the two. They'll go to a report on the US, and they'll go to deepest, darkest Arkansas and ask some poor and uneducated people about some complex international affairs issue, and practically smirk at them while they get a naturally uneducated response - it's one of the Brit's worst traits, that superior smugness. then they'll show a bunch of fat people at a rodeo or something, or eating a hot dog, while the smarmy voice-over makes some smart-*** comment. It's just an example.
The media are not a neutral information service - there's no such thing. It is always for someone and by someone, and comes from a certain point of view.

Once a news item crosses an editor's desk and becomes a "story," it has lost it's objectivity. It becomes a piece that is allotted so many minutes, depending on how marketable that piece is, how many viewers will respond to it, how many people will buy the products that are advertised during the commercials sold in the time slots. News has nothing to do with news, anymore - it's all about marketing.
If more people USED this and banded together to boycott products that were sold during the broadcast of a news item they disliked, they could USE their marketing POWER.
I trust the "news"...not to be news. If you know that there are alternatives, like democracy now, that are still broadcasting news shows, you can go there.

As Rakesh Mehtha was saying in some Interview .. news and news channels have become like a Circus..They are playing buffonery all over the place to get AD money ..
There is more skin and colour in news channels than in Movies itself .. It is not going to be long before Mallika sherawat is in reading/showing news on Times NOW..

No! The biggest let down in my mind was the reporting on the accuracy of USA/ UK long range guided missiles during a recent bombardment. (there have been so many recently that I don't recall the specific clash)!!
News and documentaries showed film of these missiles hitting a pin head miles away!!
When the true story came out 80% of these things missed altogether, and hit any place except the target they were aiming at!! just plain propaganda!!

I trust my own research, I watch 4 different news channels and read multiple newspapers so I eventually get to the truth even if I have to uncover it myself. Also journalists have to be impartial they cannot give their own opinion about anything so the majority of the time they are telling the truth but cannot speculate on what might have happened

Be very sceptical. First of all the media decide what constitutes news. Secondly, they decide how to present it. There is definately a left wing bias with most of the television news. Believe me, they are trying to indoctrinate you into their way of thinking. Sadly, most people aren't astute enough to realise this.

when the u.s. or the president is in a little hot water..then i wouldn't trust um as far as i can through them
when the presidents are in need of approval the journalist are afraid to say something against the administration itself.
they do not want to be the one that impeaches him.....all in all i believe this president is doing the right things ...at times you can trust .use commen sense

What do you mean 'any more'? I have never trusted what the zionist, fascist news corporations say - they are simply responding to what their masters inn the Whitehouse/No 10 tell them.
