Rumors across the back fence are more reliable than all the "news" media put together. They don't report news -- they dispense opinion. Yar!

The most credible news source is BBC; this is not an opinion its a fact. The BBC gets to the heart of the matter, and this is by no means accomplished through sensationalism. The BBC being non-american isn't what put it above the others, but it's the fact that their journalists are knowlegeable, fair, and are acutally aware of what's really happening in the world around them. FOX News is the most biased and sensationalised.

I'm going to assume we're only talking about television here. Out of the ones you've provided, I'd give the most credence to BBC, which, maybe because it's not American, has managed to better avoid the sensationalism and bias found so blatantly in many of the others. CNN would be my next choice.
Of course, if you really want straight policy and news with no spin... watch C-SPAN.

The BBC online (my favorite) and Aljazeera. That's not a joke at all -- by reading Aljazeera in English online, I get a different perspective that helps me understand the world better.
For more in-depth reporting, I like The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Guardian (Britain).
