I was miserable in school trying to NOT be a "geek." Turns out the geeks are the smart ones that get great jobs, are original not boring "cool people" (typically very uninteresting, it turns out), and can earn respect with others just by being themselves and being confident in that! It allows other that are questioning themselves to have the freedom to also be themselves. YOU can be a leader in just being genuine, so others can then do the same!
I just spent a few days with 20- and 30-something year old "geeks." They are geniuses who are fun and funny and far more pleasurable than any jock or homecoming queeen I can find! And they are even sexy in an odd way.....

I agree with the other comment about not doing things you enjoy, just to fit in.
If you're a geek, so what. There's lots of geeks out there, who enjoy knowing what they know, and having an expertise in strange subjects that other people know nothing about.

If you enjoy sports and things, then thats fine too. You shouldn't succumb to their level by letting their opinions rule your life.
You have to choose what you want to do, and that can be many things, but just make sure that you're doing it because you like to, not because it makes you less of who you really are.

no silly! u shouldnt give up on the things you love just because someone thinks its cool or not! if you stick with what you like, youll emerge cooler than the rest. as for making friends, youve got the rest of your life to do that.

you are worse than a geek for conforming to the majority of society's opinion, and trying to fit in for the wrong reasons.

do what makes you happy dude, even if it's not necessarily what makes your peers happy. if they're not into what you're into, then who cares what they think.

No, I don't think you are a geek. Not that there is anything wrong with being a geek, some of my best friends are!

Maybe if you still played online games once in awhile, I might think you're cool.

Can't please everyone. But playing sports is healthy so don't give it up!
