Lyrics

A Sunday Kind Of Love
I want a Sunday kind of love
A love to last past Saturday night
I'd like to know it's more than love at first sight.
I want a Sunday kind of love
I want a love that's on the square
Can't seem to find somebody to care.
I'm on a lonely road that leads me nowhere
I need a Sunday kind of love.

I do my Sunday dreaming and all my Sunday scheming
ev'ry minute, ev'ry hour, ev'ry day.
I'm hoping to discover a certain kind of lover
who will show me the way.
My arms need someone to enfold
To keep me warm when Mondays are cold
A love for all my life to have and to hold.
I want a Sunday kind of love.

Etta James did the version in the commercial. The very best version I ever heard of this song was done by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

In the Dockers commercial we have the privilege of listening to the sweet, sultry sounds of the infamous Etta James.

I think the Harptones did it in the 50's/60's maybe and I believe that Reba McEntire did one version of it in the late 80's/early 90's not really sure tho.

I think it's Dinah Washington. Really old song, it's nice though.
