England are over paid spoilt little boys and are - quite frankly not worthy of a place in the world cup. They played like a pub team on hackney marshes on a sunday. Oh , it was hot, well they are supposed to be athletes, what about all the manual workers working in the heat for 8 hrs a day, all the english poofta's had to do was chase a bag of wind(beckham) for 90 mins !!

I didn't. Unfortunately I was working at the time. I watched the highlight on Saturday night. Though we haven't really got out of second gear yet we did win against a strong and determined Paraguay team. As long as we stop playing the long ball game and stop defending leads to much we can go far. Also, send those WAGs (wives and girlfriends) home. The England team need to keep their mind one thing alone. FOOTBALL!!!!

Ivory Coast and Ghana can play better attacking football, passing well and moving forward as a team, than England.
But of course they both lost and England got the result, playing football that causes children to like tennis instead.

You have to play strikers who have proved they can score goals in the last season at least. Not a Liverpool sub whose goal tally is six and a player who has just returned from injury. I don't like to focus success on one man but Rooney is the man he can supply Lampard with the chances and make Owen fire again. I wish Beckham had the same creative spark

I saw the england match, and as usual they won by luck.They use their skills, get to the semi's and then do ****. Its the same every world cup. I personally think they need one of the boots up the backside! They dont deserve to win the WC the way they are playing.

I watched it cause nothing else on TV, and judging on the media and hype of England winning the World Cup - they were crap Lol, 1-0 through an own goal.

I think that if England wants to win the Cup they OUGHT to play MUCH MUCH better than they did.

me.. what was erisson thinkin.. yes gerard can play defensive... but his better as a free man in midfield...j.cole is just rubbish, what is with ericsson.
someone like carrick, Carragher or even rio and have sol with terry in defence should have that holding role....
what does ericsson do when he makes a sub??puts on the ever reliable, his fave owen hardgraves..... oh i think he forgot 2 pick defoe.....cos theres a shortage... theo, rooney injuried owen unfit and robot(aka crouch) is crap.
