Your question is pretty broad. Some more details may get you a more accurate answer.

Are you wanting to go on a cruise this August? If you haven't already planned the vacation, I would suggest doing that soon. Prices are going to be higher now since cruise lines raise prices as they get closer to travel and most agencies will likely be sold out of group space.

Are you looking for the best line to cruise with? This really depends on your budget. There is such a huge variety of cruises, you can spend from a few hundred dollars, to several thousand dollars on a similar trip just depending on who you sail with and what you do.

Are you wondering if it is safe to go in August? The cruise lines are well prepared for hurricanes and any problems. If it wasn't safe to go during the hurricane season, they wouldn't offer cruises. The captain constantly monitors the weather and will direct the boat to stay away from the bad weather. Now, your trip could be affected in some ways because of the weather, but you will be completely safe. Some of the differences you may expereince, rockier waters from the storms, changed ports of call, a shorter and in some cases longer cruise, etc.

I hope that I answered your question.

Depends on where the boat is going....Anywhere along the East coast or in the Caribbean you might be taking a big chance... You might get a great price on a August or September cruise, but there is a good chance that your voyage will somehow be affected by the weather(skip port, rough seas)
