If the wwe writers are doing the storylines then no. They need to keep ECW in the ECW arena in Philly and maybe do pay per views at Hammersteins ballroom. Fo ECW to survive, they need to let Paul Heyman run things without having to answer to Vince (I know that will never happen) And for God's sake get it off of the SCI FI network, Put it on some serious cable station where they can go uncensored.

I hate to say this but Yes It will survive. Reason being: Every ECW TV and live event has been tied into either Smackdown or Raw in some form or fashion. If ECW goes it alone before it gets a stable fan base, Vince is gonna lose a lot of money.

NO WAY the new ECW will survive!! since WWE has Kane, Orton, Shawn Michael, HHH and Edge from RAW and Mark Henry, the Great Khali, Undertaker, Rey Misterio and soon Batista from SD. also cuz' ECW and WWE are like giants(WWE) and jelly-beans(ECW). just like giants could crash jelly-beans, WWE will crush ECW. i think that Paul Heiman will ask Finlay to join ECW but I don't think that Finlay will be the next WWE wrestler to defect since he all ways win his matches with his mini-me. having Finlay in WWE could be sometimes bad (when he cheats) and sometimes good(if he attacks a ECW superstar with his stick, it will s*** to be that superstar)

I like to see what is happening in ECW but i think this will be a disaster. knowing there are many WWE superstar that are loyal to ECW like RVD. what will happen to the WWE championship?! that is a baad idea. there will be a lots of conflict. and im feeling that the DX will be the first one to battle the ECW!! will John Cena join HHH and HBK, i hope so.

It's WWE owned. Why wouldn't it survive? Edge and Lita are going to ECW. Other than that, I don't think anyone else will be going for awhile.

I think putting ECW on the NBC/Sci-Fi Channel was a mistake and wonder what NBC and McMahon were thinking! I am sure McMahon has researched it but he has had made stupid moves before with his Football League that really stunk and sank faster than the Titanic.
