I read over the answers to your previous question and I did not see where everyone was assuming you were still on probation. I think the majority understand that you are no longer on any kind of court ordered probation, but that you are still required to register and abide by the conditions of your release/ sentencing. Which, in this case, would prohibit you from staying in a hurricane shelter.
What I DID read was most people were not sympathetic to your situation.

I think people just see this as such an awful crime that they stay on probation. The laws need to be changed so these people are monitored the rest of their lives. They ruin children's lives therefore why not their own.
