Thanks for all the answers. My son has 2 teething toys, one a ring and icy bite keys. I haven't tried the wet washcloth yet, but I will. I never knew teething tablets existed so I will definetely have to try those too.

Get some of those water filled teething toys/rings and put them in the fridge (NOT the freezer) for a few hours until they're cold. Give them to him. I've also heard of people getting the corner of a wash cloth wet and freezing it. When it's frozen, give him the corner that you didn't wet, and let him chew on the frozen part. It'll defrost pretty quickly, so it won't harm him. You could also try zwieback or biter biscuits, but at 3 months, you really have to watch him to make sure he doesn't bite off a chunk of it and choke. Some manufacturers make bibs with rubber corners on the bottom, so if he's grabbing stuff yet, he can grab it and chew on the soft rubber. Then, there's the old standby...your index finger. Both my boys LOVED chewing on my fingers. It was OK until the teeth broke through the skin...then it hurt. Just make sure you wash your hands thoroughly before trying this!

Be very careful with the baby oral gel, may cause teeth to rot when they do come in and oral gel when swallowed causes a babies throat to become numb which may result in choking. Try all natural teething tablets sold at you local Walmart or Walgreen stores. They work great have used them on all my kids. Also they sell a new teething toy that when a child bites down on it the toy begans to vibrate which helps with the pain.

find a mostly SILVER DIME (these may be hard to find but they are out there) and drill a small hole around the edge. then thread a piece of embroderiry floss big enough to go around the baby's neck. then tie it as a necklace don't get it too small, it could choke the baby, but not too big, they could get the dime in their mouth. this is an old remedy and works wonders. my family has one and has used it for at least 22 years. this will ease up drool to almost nothing, and almost eliminate pain. you can use this on a boy or girl.

I have a 5month old who is cutting his 2 bottom front teeth. I have tried everything and the only thing that has worked is tylenol and cold wet wash clothes and lots of patience. I hate seeing my little guy in so much discomfort. Good luck you'll need it

i have a 7 month old and just a cold wet washcloth works best and they like to suck the water out of it. if that does not work try and get one of those gum cleaners and rub it on them. that should help.

Give him a wet cold rag to chew on. You can get it wet and set it in thefridge for awhile then let them suck on it. My son loves it and still needs it when a tooth comes in.

teething tablets are very good. they are in most grocery stores now and are very inexpensive. usually two or three does the job. they disolve in a few seconds, and help calm the baby very soon.

you could possibly get your baby a teething ring....sometimes that helps take the pain a way for a while...
