I am now 25 and have been taking birth control since I was 18. Is there any chance that taking birth control pills for too long can make it harder to have children, or eventually not able to have any?

I was on a high-dose hormone BC pill for almost 3 years after the birth of my first child, and it took me 5 months to get pregnant with our second. Some women have a hard time getting pregnant after BC pills, but some women can get pregnant right away. It just depends on your body. Most doctors reccommend trying for a year to get pregnant, and if you dont have any luck, then seeking help from a doctor....to rule out any health or fertility problems.

Lots of luck!!!!

It really makes no difference how long you take your birth control. What they do recommend though on some birth control is a break. You haven't stated which pill your taking so I really can't give you an accurate answer. If you are worried, I recommend speaking to your doctor.
