I'm almost 19. My mom starts the biggest arguments with me even when I'm talking to regular friends on the phone and says I shouldn't be doing that at all. She doesn't know that I have a boyfriend and I'm afraid to tell her knowing how she reacted a few months ago when I told her that him and I were friends. How can I make her realize that he's not going anywhere???

Believe me..mother knows best..she's just protecting you..maybe she experienced bad things before that made her worry about your situation right now...just be honest with her..show her that your guy is trustworthy...etc..you know sometimes mothers act panicky and overreacting over things....just be patient and nice with her..she'll soon let you have your bf anyway...

It is time to get a job and find a place to move. Even if it means rooming with somebody. My daughters were all out by the time they were 18. By choice as I would have loved to have them longer. Your mom is being overprotective and she loves you.......but you have to learn about life from your own mistakes...... good or bad that is the only way you will grow up and mature and be able to deal with life as it comes at you.

Legally you are a consenting adult, so you are free to do what you wish to do. I guess it all comes down to family loyalty, is it really worth the fighting with the parents over. But then again honesty is the best policy.

Grow the hell up... get a job and an apartment and be an adult. By the look of you picture, I am sure your mom's got legitimate fears about your actions.
