where did the term montezuma's revenge come from?

it's called other things but i i like this term best.

Because back in the days, the native lord or whatever was Montezuma, that was in present day Mexico. And then Columbus or some explorer went there and saw that they were nice natives, and then made the civilians go find gold and bring it to him, and then chopped off their limbs and stuff. Or something like that.
