We have what they call power showers where a pump forces the water. If you got a dribbling electric shower then you got a bottom end of the market one.

Because we're the only country that has crappy electric showers! Most other countries plumb the hot water straight into the shower, and you get a decent strong shower not a stupid dribble. I hate electric showers - I wish we in the UK didn't know about them either!

Maybe they prefer to rely on the regular pump, which gives you a nice strong shower, rather than the dribble dribble of the electric ones. i was in Uk for a time, and always felt like i was showering under a watering can. :)
