Sometimes factors other than pregnancy can cause your period to be delayed or even be skipped. These include stress, poor diet, and illness. However, do not rule out pregnancy based on the results of one over the counter pregnancy test. Your best option is to see your physician so they can give you a thorough check up.

Maybe you're just late. Or if you've been under a lot of stress lately (like heavy stress) that can cause you to miss your period. Apparently, you're sexually active so...that has nothing to do it with it. You shouldn't worry about being 6 days late for your period. It will come when you don't think about it or stress that you're not on your period. My advice...calm down. Worry when your period hasn't come when you're a month late. If you'd feel better in taking another pregnancy test then take it when you feel that the moment is right & you know that something isn't right with your body. You yourself know your own body more than anyone else. You don't need our help to figure out what is wrong with you. But just do as I said and you'll see what I am talking about. Some women, when taking a pregnancy test, come out negative on the first try, then when they feel that the moment is right they take the test again & come out positive. That never happened to me. Mine both came out positive on both of my kids. Plus, I knew that I was pregnant before I took the test. I knew my body more than anyone else & knew that something wasn't right. You, too, can learn to know your own body. Surprised that you don't already. :)

Well, i know for a fact that it takes longer then 6 days for a pregnacy test to show possitive. If your really worried go to a family dodctor and get a blood test done, you can find out sooner with the blood test. But it could just be that your late and not pregnant.

Its very possible that its too soon for a postive pg test result. Wait a few days and if you still havent started, take another. Then see your doctor if it is still negative. It could be some other problem....maybe even the early signs of an STD. Stress can also be a factor. Maybe you are having false-pregnancy symptoms. Sometimes if you are really worried about becoming pregnant, you can have false symptoms...i.e. late period.

Good luck!

It would be showing up by now surely if you are 6 days late. Re-test once more but this time use first morning urine and if it still says negative then maybe you are not pregnant.

Go to the doctor and have a Blood test done. a blood test will show you are pregnant 6 days after conception and is 100% accurate.

maybe you are just stressed out

Pregnancy test are pretty accurate. If you're late, then you can probably count on the result. If you wait a couple days, try the pregnancy test again...if you still see a negative result (not pregnant) then maybe call your doctor and speak to a nurse about it. They usually have people on staff that can help you decide what to do next, and maybe avoid a costly doctor visit. Good luck and don't stress-out!

Just wait a little longer. Since you already took a test and it's negative, don't freak. You could just be stressed or your body is still getting itself settled into a routine. If it doesn't come in the next week of so, go to your OB/Gyn. If there's anything wrong, they can tell you.

If you have a doctor, Call and you can bring a urine specimen there for them to test. Just relax . If you are old enough to have sex I guess you are old enough to have a baby.

It's too soon to worry about it. I don't know how old you are. Don't go to plan d parenth od. They might talk you into something that you'll regret for the rest of your life. I heard that they told some girls that they were pregnant and they really weren't and they thought that they had an aboution when really they weren't even pregnant.

6 days isn't such a long time, so give yourself some time. Maybe you ate less or were stressed or were too much physical active. If you don't trust the test, you can go to see the doctor, but i still think you should wait some more days.

Missing periods is natural. Changes in diet, exercise level, and stress can affect your cycle. The pregnancy test is probably correct but you could retake it a few weeks later to make sure.
