So what caused it to start moving in the first place?

The origin of energy is different depending on what you believe. Most of the scientific community believes in the "big bang" theory, but religious people believe that God created the universe and therefore started the energy flow. These are the most common explanations.

There are two thoughts to be expressed concerning this.

1. Everything is "running down". This means that at some point it all had to be placed in a particular order (creation).

2. The second point is, If the force of gravity performs work, then it requires a particular energy source to do this. If there were (according to the concept of the "big bang") mass about to form everything, where did the energy come from in order to bring that mass into its potential form to explode? Either way, it all comes to the concept of, "In the beginning God..."

What you will be taught, is that there is no explanation for the force of gravity. That it just "is". That is not true. It performs work, thus it requires an energy source. (c2=E/m). If you want the truth about these things, you have to do your own work.

There are various forms of energy.

When energy is transferred from one place to another place we say it is transmitted.

The maximum speed of energy transmission is the speed of light. The transmission of energy starts with this speed and does not depend upon the source. Once emitted from the source its instantaneous speed is c and it never decreases unless It passes through another medium. For energy we need not have any other energy to set it in motion.

Uhm thats the stupidest question I've ever heard. It's always been in motion. For all of what we can concieve as time.
