What is the governments reason(s) for keeping weed illegal?

Most of the time when people are smoking, they're just chillin, not driving around. The bigger threat to peoples motor skills is alcohol. So how is it that MORE people die from alcohol related "accidents" etc. then people are reported dead from weed related accidents. Which are rare. More people die from just plain alcohol poisoning and NO ONE has ever died from over dosing on weed. So, it causes alittle memory loss, it doesn't contribute to the MULTIPLE steady rate of death, that alcohol does.

Originally weed was made illegal because it was a threat to the oil companies. Hemp was such a useful commodity, that Shell oil actually helped in creating propaganda films(such as Reefer Madness) to lump it as part of a hardcore drug culture. It helped to stop research and use of a natural material that was an actual threat to the oil barons. Why government doesn't decriminalize it now is years of negative campaigning that is still hard to shake. Hell, look at Clinton's first appointed surgeon general. She came out publicly about pot's positive effect medically. She already was female and black, so you know conservative America wasn't ready to hear that from her, of all people. She was gone within a year.

1) To sustain the prison population for the privatized prison industry.(big business opportunity there)without the anti-weed law they I'm afraid they would have to cease and desist their opportunistic illegal operations.
2) Politicians fear legalization would put their own drug running cartels into an economic down-spin as the people could and will always grow their own.
3) The inherent properties of weed to expand thought processes would be a threat to national security as the American people would be awakened to see the corruption that is running amok in all levels of government.(ever see the movie Eyes Wide Shut? kool eh)
4) Weed is big business,need I say more?
5) The booze and beer cartels would need to anti-up more cash to the lawmakers to keep pot illegal. Booze..How do you think the West was really won? those unfortunate natives really didn't know why and what hit them.
6) Liquor and beer keep the people dumbed down. that is hitting the nail on the head. Ever feel like speaking your piece of mind at a anti-gov rally, but were to damned hungover and feared you would puke on the microphone and podium? That just would not happen with the weed.. man!.

When asprin was invented by the drug co you could to the pharmisist at his soda fountain and get Cocain cola for a headache. It worked faster and better than asprin. So the fat cat that ran the drug co bought our officials and had them pass laws against cocaine and weed. The drug co sponsored the weed movie Reefer Madness to scare people because weed worked better than asprin also. The fact that weed really is a weed makes it easy to grow and hard to tax. It's like homemade liquor easy to do and hard to tax. Our Gov can't understand that what we want to do and how much money we make is NONE of their business! DEMs and REPs think they can fix anything even when it's not broken! They are so smart they know everything even when they're wrong their right! Just ask them they will tell you just how smart they are. They're so smart the whole country is screwed 10,000 ways now. Take pollution and taxes for instance. Pollution free electric power has been all over our Gov. Millions of high wage jobs to build electric power plants. Millions more jobs to build electric roads to use the clean power for electric cars and trucks. 2 nations and 1US state pay not tax the residents. Kuwait pays $58,000 y, no rent, utilites, phone, hospital, or income tax bills! I know it's oil! Oil is just 1 of thousands of commodities. With all the thousands of commodities in your state why aren't you getting paid? With all the resources of the Feds why aren't they paying 50 times better than Alaska. With all 3 systems working right now; why aren't the Feds taking the best from each system and doing better than Kuwaities at paying US! They are so smart and lied for so long they now believe their own lies. Have you EVER heard any official talk about Kuwait paying, Alaska? They've known about Kuwait paying for 30 years and Alaska for over a decade! They've had the pollution free electric power plant info for a decade. They still lie about needing taxes when 3 systems pay not tax and still lie about energy and power every day. If you ever watched George C Scott in the flim flam man you'ld know people who"lie, cheat, steal, back stab, corkscrew, and dirty deal are flim flam men! Better known as pollitions! thanks for helpin with my questions iv never been caught doin something illegal, one reason is probly because in your 30's the effects of the weed will start to catch up to you and give you memory loss, they think to many people are abuseing the drug and alot of the people being under aged to even smoke a cigarette and in very rare cases some people are stupid and smoke to much of it and die, but thats really rare you have to smoke more than your own body weight thats hope tha helped

cuz they are jerks...but i think if they legalized it they would put so much s h i t in it like they do ciggarets and it wouldnt be as pure or as good as it should be....so maybe its a good thing its not legal
