Contact AAA (the American Automobile Association) - they specialize in giving comprehensive and extremely up to date driving directions, including construction zones and bad traffic areas.

They put it all together in a neat flip book that you can take with you and refer to easily, and even tell you about places to eat along the way.

Much better than the on-line services.

all are good, and each is unique
