well....isn't there a saying that we marry our fathers?? Does this same idea apply to men liking women like thier mothers?

Generally, very good. Boys tend to look for their moms in a younger version. I'd take it as a huge compliment.

I think the same thing , if they have a good relationship with thier mother--> probably is a good thing ! If thier relationship with thier mother is not sooo good---> probably not a good thing !

Depends on how much he liked his mother, if they had a good mother-son relationship, then it's a very good thing.

That depends on how and when he used that comparison. I mean, if he was angry with you and said "you just like my mother."
Personally, I do not like to be compared to anyone's mother. (I am a mother and married).
