Nice question, especially during tough times like this.
My family is a family of goofballs. Just recently we had to make a tough decision to place my mom in a nursing home. Her health and well being depended on it. In one of the many tense phone discussions I had with my sister, we were beginning to argue, when suddenly she made a very funny comment, and before we knew it we were laughing so hard, it helped dispell the tension between us. After that, we were able to discuss my mom's situation with greater ease. That's the great thing about my family ... laughter and unexpected silliness during tough times helps pull us through.

Yesterday morning when getting off work. My co-worker joined me in the elevator and was planning to fart in it and blame me. Other people got on on another floor and we were laughing like crazy. They were saying they wanted to be where we were. And nobody knew what we were really laughing about.
