I didn't come out/act on anything until I was 20, but I put a name on my sexuality around 18. I knew I was different in junior high.

i knew at 16 and now i'm 17... i'm not sure you can actually say that your gay at 4, 5 years old or even younger ....i dont think your mind is completly developed at a very young age.you should probably need to be aware of things first and know what being gay really means, a 5 year old couldnt make any real decisions on his own ...maybe only if he were a genius, and i highly doubt that is the case for all the gay people out there....so i'm basically saying that you should probably need to be mature enough to cope with that sort of thing.....and in the end it all resumes to feelings, at what age do you think you could be aware of your feelings towards others?? this differs from one person to another....so some people find out sooner than others that they are gay

I knew for sure when I was 19 and I had sex with a woman for the first time. But I knew something was up by about age 15.... I just didn't confirm it until later.

I knew for sure at about 21, after being in love and lust with my best friend for 3 years. I had kissed her for the first time when I was 18, but because she wasn't a lesbian she tried to convince me that I wasn't either and that I was just going through a phase. So I was in denial for a very long time!

Fortunately, I knew I WASN'T Gay when I was a young teenager, and 3 or 4 blokes at different times over those years tried to lure me into their lewrid warped ideas!
Their efforts not only repulsed me, but actually quite frightened me at the time!

At a very young age, like 4 or 5. I obviously didn't know what to do with these feelings, and they mostly manifested themselves as platonic "crushes" on other boys, but yeah, I knew early on.

Not at birth, new borns aren't aware of their sexuality. Perhaps it happens when an individual reaches the age where she or he starts having mixed feelings of lust toward people of the same gender. And just to clarify, Im straight.
