I bought 4 RHCP songs off of iTunes a few days ago--Can't stop, The Zephyr Song, By the Way and Californication. Although they're very good music and I do enjoy listening to them, I can't understand the lyrics at all. Are the RHCP just singing nonsense or is there some hidden meaning I'm not getting?

I have just recently fallen in love with the RHCPs all over again. "By the way" is one of my favorite songs. What I did was find the lyrics on-line. Lyrics-domain was a helpful site. I also did a little research and found out that Keidas was a poet and actor first before he was ever a singer. It was flea and another guy who in high school asked Keidas to put his poetry to music and it all started from there. That is what I love about the RHCPs. Their music is poetry. Anthony Keidas is a poet. Check out the lyrics to "otherside, scar tissue, breaking the girl" and let the words speak to your heart.

LOVE Red Hot Chili Peppers. You are not able to deny that Hayley Williams may be very gifted within the vocal field, however I do not like their kind... It's too pop-ish. I like extra uncooked tune... I do not hate Paramore. Frankly, I do not hate any band within the rock style, except they have got something to do with Disney or use autotune/synth. Just my opinion :)

I havnt really heard a lot their songs but i feel that the lyrics r utter nonsense! however d music is good and also d video of their latest Dani California.

Their lyrics rele do make sense, you just have to put deep thought into them. Read between the lines....it took me awhile 2 understand them 2, so know ur not alone!

they do have meaning, u just havent discovered it yet. mostly its about california. the best state ever!! my home!! sorry got a bit carried away. just read the lyrics. yeah it has some weird meaning. but wow chevelle... their music doe not make any sense not waht so ever,

They use real words. They just don't construct them in a manner of conveying any logical message or with any artistic merit.
