There are no guarantees, but you will have the best chance if you first of all, pick a partner with good teeth (some of it is genetic) and arrange for your own family tree to have good teeth.
Take good care of yourself during pregnancy. Teeth are mostly formed during pregnancy. Do not catch any virus (this can lead to serious decay of baby teeth).
Breastfeed--exclusively for at least 6 months, and continue for at least 2 years, longer if baby is willing.
Avoid all artificial nipples--bottles and pacifiers.
Discourage your child from sucking her/his thumb; if you see baby sucking, this is a sign that she/he needs to nurse.
In addition, avoiding all processed sugar (including honey, molasses, and, dried fruit) will keep the teeth in good condition. You don't *ever* have to offer your child sugar. Give in limited amounts when she/he is older and knows enough to ask for it.
Obviously, you can't control all of the above. But if you do the things you *can*, you will have the best results, taking into account baby's genetics and many other factors.

I worked at an orthodontist so I kinda have some experience with this.
First of all nothing you can do can guaruntee perfect teeth because some factors are genetic. But things you can do to help are: No pacifier, try to prevent thumbsucking, don't give a bottle of milk while going to bed (if you do, rinse with a few drinks of water in a bottle). For overall healthy teeth, try to avoid sugary foods and promote good oral hygeine as they grow. Also, take them to a dentist when they turn about 2.

you really can't prevent your childs teeth from coming in crooked, some things are inherited traits. But you can make sure he has healthy teeth. Don't let babies sleep with a bottle of milk or juice in their mouth. This will cause their teeth to rot below the gum line (called bottle rot). Always try to get your little one to drink a water bottle after milk or juice, and begin brushing as soon as teeth are coming in. If the baby has healthy teeth then it's easier to get braces later if needed.

Never let the baby sleep with a bottle in its mouth, as this can cause "baby bottle mouth" (rotten, crooked teeth).
Also, try to cut down on pacifier use.
Other than that, genetics play a large part.... can't do anything about that.

Let them come in on their own. You can't do much of anything about their teeth as they are genetic. Thumb sucking, pacifiers sometimes cause teeth to come in crooked though.
*Don't mix formula with water that has high concentrates of flouride.
