Its too small for thier sorting machines. The minimum size is post card size.

The lableing would be too small to be easily read and there would not be adequate room for a stamp or other form of postage.

Think about it, you have to have the stamp, the mailing address, and the return address, it would have to be processed several times by at least a few people and a few machines (the machines aren't adequately capable of processing such a small item anyway... ) and they just don't want the hassle it would cause.

So why not just put the mailer in a small envelope?

Probably all of the above and that it would be too easy to lose and could not have your return address, the address of the person you are sending it to AND the stamp on it.

but here's their link in case it mentions reasons for the size limitations.
