AAAAAAAAAH! im so stupid, i didnt wait until the credits were finished.

okay so SPOILER AHEAD:

the last scene u see is magneto and his chess game.

then..........after the credits:

remember the guy without the brain? xavier was teaching his students and in the tv, there was a nurse and a man on a hospital bed behind her. he had no brain. so when he was right about to die from jean, he supposedly transferred his brain to the guy. so the scene (my friend told me) is the man on the bed wakes up and says "mary? (or whatever the nurse's name is)...and the nurse looks at him and says , "charles?" BOOM. black. finished.

THERE HAS TO BE A FOURTH ONE.

The end of the movie was that 1) Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr) didn't loose all of his power. He's a class 3 mutant so basically the dose of "the cure" was "underdose", so if Beast(Henry McCoy) injected in him more than that, he would have been truly human. 2) Charles Xavier was not actually "dead" but he transferred his mind to the "brain-dead" man. The commatosed man has a brain but he was just "brain-dead", since Xavier have to transfer his psyche to someone ,( it's not the physical brain) just before he was obliterated by the Phoenix (Jean Grey).

So basically, the founder and proponent of the X-Men still "lives" but the saga has ended since the other members had already died. That's why it's called the "Last Stand". :)

If you stay beyond the credits, you'll find the Professor is not as dead as they make out and the cure isn't quite a cure-all.

at the very end...it appears as if Magneto was gaining back his powers, meaning that mayby the "cure" is only temporary..thus leaveing it open for another movie
