your body protects itself by causing inflammation. It will protect your tear or hyperextension while you recover. This is the inflaation inhiboro known as cox1. If it persists afterwards, you have cox2. OTC anti-inflammatories work on both cox 1 and 2, and you don't want that. Xanthones are good to ensure you leave the good inflammation while dealing with the long term inflammation that causes pain and is broughton by itself (the joint hurts, so the body inflames the area to help it stay imobilized - the body hurts after the injury is done, feels the pain and keeps the inflammation up even though it is the inflamation that is casueing the pain. I wrecked my elbow for a while, and xanthones worked a darn site better than motrin/ibuprofin and a brace that I tried for 11 months.

i am not a doctor, but i am just guessin that it is either a nerve, or it has an infection.. what u do is put ice on a towel and put it on it.. and also take some pain killers.. this should work..
