I insert the disc and I open either windows media player or real player. I have two disc drives with only one disc inserted. It will not play anything but the sample tracks stored on the computer of some classical crap that irritates me. I've used the help menu and nothing seems to work. Someone walk me through this madness.

I have an extremely bad temper and if I don't see some progress I'm gonna throw it out of my second story window. If anyone cares for computers they will do what they can to save it. I am holding it hostage.

Okay I'm gonna try to help you but Im hoping its nothing all that technical. Im also taking that you have the new windows media player as for my directions are according to this, Open WMP (windows media player) go to the "Now Playing Tab" right directly next to that you will see a little arrow pointing down, (this is known as the Quick Acess panel) Click it, A list will then scroll down saying "CD Drive (D:)"

If it says "CD Drive (D:) No Disc in Drive" you are in trouble because that means something is wrong with your computer However (what im hoping it says is...) Lets say you are trying to play ACDC it should show "CD Drive (D:) ACDC Back In Black Album" If you see the Album name or that the drive is busy click on it! It should then open on your playlist and play:) Hope i helped.

Your question is unclear. Does a disk not play on any player, or does the player not play any disk?

Either your CD player is dead, OR

Your disk is dirty
