If they really hurt me I might throw it in their face otherwise no. It would only prove his point that you were worthless and cheated throughout the relationship. IF you ever do want to get back he will still hold that over your head. Best keep it to yourself.

I think it depends on who cheated and who's doing the breaking-up. Or if unsafe sex was involved (if that's the case, you might have to tell them for their health) Otherwise, it's totally unecessary to tell them after a breakup, it can only make the other sad/angry. Now, another scenario is one that I personally dealt with...I was very unhappily married and I cheated. I immediately told my (now ex) husband about it. I shouldn't have, but I knew that I needed to end the relationship, and I used the cheating as sabotage. If I could do it all over, I would have conjured up the nerve to simply end the relationship or something other than cheating....I guess if the cheating is the reason behind the break-up (for the person leaving the relationship) it may help seal the deal...but no one is going to feel better afterwards. I still feel regret to this day, and I'm sure my ex is still angry and sad for what I did to him. So, to summarize - no, don't tell them. Just move on. That's the best thing for everyone involved.

not really "in" that relationship then are you??? you're just simply using people and abusing yourself. maybe you think that's clever right now. but soon, your conscience will catch up to you. and when it does, you'll also have to feel the guilt of what you did to your partner. how you may have damaged them emotionally, or scewed their ability to trust or be cared for. betrayal is a horrible thing to do to anyone in any capacity.

That would probably be the reason I was breaking up. Nothing stays a secret for long.

It depends are you married? Do you have kids? Is it a serious relationship? These are all factors. Plus you have to take into consideration the reaction of your current whatever and his/her mental stability.

no, not without thinking about it. why? because your girl will tell other girls and lower your chances of future cheating. knowing that, make you decision: NO! unless you really want to tick her off and have considered the consequences....

Yes, it's the only fair thing to do. And plus, what would it matter to you? You're breaking up with whoever it is to you....

There is no reason to tell them, it'll only make them feel worse.
