I have Thome, Wright, Crede at the corners. I would replace Crede with Ensberg.

Another deal for Patterson is for Francouer straight up. Which one should I do?

I say take the first trade. Ensberg is a very good player capable of putting up at least 30 HR and 100 RBI. Remember that Ensberg is usually a lot better in the second half of the season so keep that in mind.

This way even if Thome and Wright are doing great, you have a very good player to use as UTIL.

For the second trade, i think you are giving up too much for a free-swinger like francoeur. You never know what to expect from francoeur, which is a bad thing.

Depends on the scoring... my gut says no. You have plenty of power in Thome and Wright. By doing the trade, you will be trading down in terms of batting average and giving up one of the top catchers (always a tough position to fill... Willingham, while "C" rated, is a significant downgrade.) Patterson has been playing well and Ensberg has been struggling as of late.

I agree with Ankur. Do the 2nd trade. Patterson is fast when he gets on base. The problem is he's never been able to hit/get on base for the length of the season.
Get Francouer he's a solid hitter on a good offensive team that always pours it on toward the end of the season. Definitely keep Mauer. I'd only trade a good catcher for starting pitching if needed. Otherwise the position is so thin it's not worth moving him. Good luck.

I would do the 2nd trade offer. Keep Wright at 3B, Thome at 1B, and Mauer at C. You can scour the waiver wire or search for trades to get a UTIL guy.

But if you already have speed, trade Patterson while his stock is high. Mauer is one of the top 3 fantasy catchers in the game I think, and thats a very thin position to come by.

Good luck.

Absolutely do not take the first trade. Willingham is headed to the DL in the next frew days so you'd be stuck without a catcher completely. The second trade sounds good though if you're looking to trade steals for homers. Francouer's a free swinger but he'll definitely boost your power numbers.

Patterson's performance is an anomoly. Ensberg is spectacular. This trade works of Willingham is C eligible in your league.
